I'll be honest, I really don't have any inspiration to write my blog. Great way to start this post, I know. I don't know what to think...or feel...or do...or anything these days. All of my conversations revolve around school or politics or Covid.
"What are YOU going to do about school?!" or "What do YOU think about blah blah blah or yadda yadda yadda?!" or "Do YOU know about the cases in..."
The truth is...I don't know. I feel everything and nothing every minute of every day. Super clear and specific, right?
So if YOU are ever feeling this way at times...here's what I do know. This morning, my coffee was awesome! My husband is way into coffee. I'd be fine with any brown hot water, but he is my own personal barista, equipped with the freshest coffee beans, professional flavoring, and multiple milk options. I take the first sip and it's heaven. Then he always asks me if I like the coffee, because he might have put one extra bean in the grinder or mixed a hazelnut blend with his regular blend. This is my best conversation of the day, most days. We discuss the coffee. It's a luxury that I have given to me, without my own personal effort, consistently delicious, and a benefit of the caffeine boost I need to tackle the day. I love it.
Sometimes it's the simple things.
I'm going to focus on simple moments of happiness to keep me going every day. I'm writing this to hopefully make you think of your simple moments of happiness that pop into your mind. One simple moment at a time...come to think of it, I believe I've written about this before. Clearly my mind goes to the simple things. I also think I've written about coffee before.
Well, a few minutes of light-hearted feelings and a reminder for me to get back to basics when the world feels completely overwhelming. No matter what, the coffee was awesome today!
